Israeli Map Shows 39% of West Bank Posts Sit on Private Arab Land (NYTimes)
Israeli advocacy group Peace Now, using maps and figures leaked from Israel’s Civil Administration, says that 39% of land held by Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank is privately owned by Palestinians. The discovery will create embarrassment for Israel, which has long claimed respect for Palestinian private property rights.
